Learn MoreReach out by phone or through our contact form to describe what you need. We respond within 1 business day. No waiting weeks to hear back - you talk to a real person at a local South Texas company, not a call center. We will set a time to visit your property at your convenience.
We come to your property, measure the area, check the base and drainage, and look at any existing damage. You get a written, itemized quote that spells out exactly what is included - prep work, materials, and scope. No phone guesses, no surprise charges on the back end.
Our crew arrives on the agreed date, does the prep work thoroughly, and finishes the job cleanly. Before we leave, we walk the finished surface with you to make sure everything is right. You know exactly what was done and what to expect next.
We carry full liability insurance and hold a Texas contractor license verifiable through the state at tdlr.texas.gov. We provide a certificate of insurance before any work begins, so you are protected if anything unexpected happens on your property.
Every estimate involves a physical visit to your property. We measure, assess the base condition, and check drainage before quoting a number. You get a written, itemized proposal - not a ballpark figure over the phone - and zero pressure to move forward.
We have been working in Victoria and surrounding South Texas communities since 2017. We know the clay soils, the drainage patterns, and the seasonal weather that make paving here different from anywhere else. That local knowledge shows up in jobs that last.
When you call or submit a request, you hear back within 1 business day - not a week later. We schedule estimates quickly and give you a realistic project timeline before you commit to anything. No ghosting, no runaround.

"They came out to look at my driveway within two days of me calling, gave me a clear written quote, and finished the job in one day. The base prep was done correctly - they explained exactly what they were doing and why. Six months later the surface looks exactly like it did when they finished."
Marcus T., Victoria - Driveway Paving
"Our parking lot had been neglected for years - potholes, faded lines, the works. They repaved and restriped the whole thing in under a week. The accessible spaces were laid out correctly, which was something our previous contractor had gotten wrong. Tenants noticed the difference immediately."
Dana R., Port Lavaca - Parking Lot Paving
"Had multiple cracks opening up in the asphalt from the clay soil shifting. They crack-sealed everything, then came back to sealcoat a few weeks later. The crew was on time, cleaned up after themselves, and the price matched the written quote exactly. No surprises at all."
Lisa M., Cuero - Asphalt Crack Sealing
We respond within 1 business day. There is no obligation to move forward after submitting - this is simply a request for an estimate. After we receive your message, someone from our office will call to schedule a free on-site visit at a time that works for you.

South Texas is harder on paved surfaces than most of the country. Here is what matters most before you hire a contractor or decide whether to repair or replace.
Asphalt softens slightly in extreme heat, but it is also easier and cheaper to repair when sections fail. Concrete is harder and more heat-resistant but costs more upfront and is difficult to patch invisibly. In Victoria, most residential property owners choose asphalt for the lower initial cost and the ease of ongoing maintenance.
When water sits on asphalt instead of running off, it seeps into micro-cracks and softens the base below. Victoria's clay soils already expand and contract with every rain cycle - adding water under the surface speeds up that movement dramatically. Proper drainage slope built into the original job is the fix; patching the top alone will not hold.
Resurfacing (milling and overlaying) works when the base is still solid. Full replacement is necessary when the base has failed - indicated by large cracked sections, significant sinking, or areas that flex underfoot. A contractor who looks at your specific surface can tell you which one applies. Be cautious of anyone who jumps to full replacement without explaining why.
New asphalt needs several months to fully cure before sealcoating. Sealing too soon traps oils in the surface that need to off-gas first, and the sealer bonds to an unstable surface. The National Asphalt Pavement Association recommends waiting at least 90 days after paving before the first sealcoat.
A real estimate from a reputable contractor lists base preparation depth and method, asphalt mix thickness, edge treatment, cleanup, and whether crack filling or grading is included. Estimates given over the phone without a site visit are not real estimates. If prep work is not listed separately, it is probably being skipped.
Victoria does not get freeze-thaw cycles - but expansive clay soil creates similar damage. The ground swells during wet periods and shrinks during dry spells, putting constant upward and lateral pressure on pavement. A properly compacted base layer is the main defense. Thin or poorly compacted bases crack in this soil within just a few years.
Victoria Asphalt Paving is a licensed and insured asphalt paving contractor based in Victoria, TX, serving residential and commercial customers across 12 communities in the South Texas Coastal Bend since 2017.
We hold a Texas contractor license issued through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) and carry full liability insurance on every job - we provide a certificate of insurance before work begins.
Since 2017, we have completed paving, sealcoating, repair, and parking lot projects for homeowners and commercial property owners throughout the region. We offer 16 services covering everything from new driveway installation to drainage solutions and speed bump installation.
Sealcoating makes sense when the surface is still in good structural shape and you want to protect it. Once the surface has widespread cracking or feels rough and brittle underfoot, resurfacing - or in bad cases, full replacement - delivers better results and better value.
The web-like pattern known as alligator cracking means the base beneath the asphalt has failed - usually from water infiltration, inadequate base thickness, or soil movement. Patching the surface alone will not fix it. The affected section needs to be removed, the base rebuilt, and fresh asphalt laid. The Federal Highway Administration documents this as a structural failure, not a surface defect.
With proper base installation and regular sealcoating on a two-to-three-year schedule, an asphalt driveway in South Texas can last 15 to 25 years or more. The number drops sharply if the base was thin, if sealing is skipped, or if water pooling on the surface is never addressed.
Not sure where your driveway or parking lot stands? Call (361) 363-1299 and we will tell you honestly what it needs.
Victoria is the largest city in the South Texas Coastal Bend, home to roughly 65,000 to 70,000 people and serving as the commercial and transportation hub for a wide rural region. The city sits at the crossroads of US Highway 59, US Highway 77, and US Highway 87, connecting it to Houston, Corpus Christi, and San Antonio. That heavy through-traffic, combined with long summers and clay soils, puts real wear on residential driveways and commercial parking lots throughout the metro area.
Victoria has neighborhoods that span many decades, from the older homes near Riverside Park and the Guadalupe River corridor to the newer subdivisions on the north and west sides of town near Texas A&M University-Victoria. Across all of these areas, Victoria's expansive clay soils expand and contract with every rain cycle, cracking driveways and shifting pavement that was not built on a properly compacted base. Victoria Asphalt Paving has been working in this city long enough to know which neighborhoods sit on the worst soil and how to build accordingly.
